Our title 'GEMSTONES' indicates a time-tested element, sought-after for its strength, longevity, and extremely high value.

The GEMSTONES is our senior adult group. They host frequent gatherings that provide fun, food, and great fellowship. If you are a senior, 60+ years, and looking for a place to connect, you will fit right in with our GEMSTONES.

August 29, 2022...A Gemstone Day at Celebration Center-Serenity

Twenty-eight members joined Barbara Lofton, and her colleagues for FOOD, FUN, GAMES, PRIZES and invaluable information about their services. Everyone was a P R I Z E W I N N E R !

Our game was "WHEEL OF FORTUNE" - allowing everyone to SPIN THE WHEEL.

Prizes included $$$$, Gift Certificates, and Trememdous Discounts on all of their services at Serenity.

We thank Serenity and the staff for a great day, and the information was invaluable to Everyone!

O'CHARLEY'S WAS GROUND "ZERO" FOR GEMSTONES IN JUNE 2022!

Hot Rolls, Appetizers+, Great Conversations from food to funnies,...and ENERGETIC PASSWORD GAMES!!

This was a great event for our GEMSTONES. We missed those who could not join us, but we are already working for the next one.

Like all of the restaurants, O'Charley's had challenges with employees, but Tina and our server were great. Food was, and always is, GREAT. Certainly invite anyone (senior, adult guest) next time. "PASSWORD" was exciting, but we needed more people and a little more time...but just wait till next time!!

Gemstones invited County Commissioner Randall Dueitt to share projected plans for South Mobile County.

Commissioner Dueitt, and his assistant experienced the hospitality, food and fellowship of our Grand Bay GEMSTONES!

On May 3, 2022, our 3rd District Commissioner had our attention when he shared his and the county's plan for South Mobile County. Quality of Life elements seemed to highlight his presentation, encouraging new people to make this their home. Seven or eight questions came from our members of specifics affecting them in the Grand Bay Area.

On March 1st we celebrated at RED LOBSTER, Mobile. We ate everything on the menu, then played GEMSTONE-STYLE "Pictionary." Our ladies exceeding all expectations and WON IT ALL!!"

Matching the "stars" is a challenge for anyone, but don't let a great answer get in the way of a stupid question. Sometimes the best answer is "A CHECKING ACCOUNT" or "WIVES!""

Friends honoring a Birthday 'Girl' Jana...was a big Surprise! Great food, time together with a great view of Mobile, Bay.

The Lighthouse Restaurant was the location of GEMSTONES' Christmas luncheon on December 7, 2021.

Participants took a number as they arrived for the gift exchange, took note of the birthday cakes for December birthdays, signed birthday and get-well cards, and played Christmas BELL TOSS.

BELL TOSS FIRST & SECOND place winners were Josiah & Ouida.

We had fun and yummy food at the LIGHTHOUSE RESTAURANT to Celebrate Christmas, December 7th.

Billy, Donna Jean, Elouise, and Fay are happy to have another event, celebrating birthdays, and eat B-DAY Cake made by our leader, Jana. All love to eat (like Fay) as Helen, Elouise, Ouida, and Barbara pause for the photo. Bro. Ed and Sis Helen sit at the same table as our Pastor and always bring smiles and laughter to our Gemstone events. Jana gave a Christmas Bucket List to all and provided directions to a different type gift exchange, based on "THE CHRISTMAS STORY." Being Christians, there wasn't much "stealing!" Colen, Billy, Barbara, and Shirley check their hopeful numbers!

GEMSTONES RETURN TO "ROCKY CREEK"

Eighteen brave GEMSTONES defied the wind, cold, and rain to attend our event in Lucedale, MS in February 2022.

After their world-famous hush puppies & cheese, then Catfish House cole slaw...time to get to some mighty-fine eat'n. One birthday, Sis. Fareta Stokes...no cake!!...just 3 tasty (CHEESE CAKE, KEY LIME, AND COCONUT) pies. Then..."Who Needs a Nap?" Now time to play Red-Back Hymal "Name That Tune," ..."DOO - DOO Style!"
